Requirements:


Class “A”, Category I


a) Medical psychosomatic fitness certificate


b) Certificate of traffic regulations**


c) Payment of PEN 24.50processing fee: Banco de la Nación


** Renewal is carried out:
Until the age of 69 – every 8 years
From ages 70 to 75 – every 5 years
From ages 76 – 80 – for 3 years


** The traffic regulations exam can be replaced by a certification granted by a Driving School; the course on traffic regulations and road safety must last no less than five hours, being valid for six (06) months.


Class “A”, categories Il and III


a) Medical psychosomatic fitness certificate


b) Certificate of knowledge reinforcement course **


c) Payment of PEN 24.50 processing fee: Banco de la Nación


** Revalidation is carried out:
Until the age of 80 – every 3 years
From ages 81 – every 2 years (all categories)


** The reinforcement certification will be valid for six (06) months and must include at least two (02) hours of driving lessons and nine (09) hours of theoretical instruction (updating traffic and transport regulations, as well as on defensive driving techniques). The courses must be taught within a period no longer than ten (10) calendar days.


Important: Renewals can be requested within the (30) calendar days previous to the driver’s license’s expiration date. This license will lose its validity within five calendar days counting from the date of renewal.
