PERU AND KOREA SIGNED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR JOINT DEVELOPMENT OF AN IMPROVED INTEGRATED TRANSPORT SYSTEM
The document was signed by the Deputy Minister of Transports, Henrry Zaira Rojas, and the Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transports, Kyung-Hwan Kim
Today, the Ministry of Transports and Communications of Peru and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transports of the Republic of Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Lima aimed at exchanging technologies and experiences in the application of policies related to Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), to the benefit of both nations.
The document was signed by the Deputy Minister of Transports, Henrry Zaira Rojas, who represented the MTC, and the Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transports, Kyung-Hwan Kim, on behalf of the Republic of Korea.
This Memorandum will enable Peru and Korea to jointly develop transports and logistics projects. Moreover, our country will be able to capitalize on the Asian country’s experience in its transport development, as well as in technical assistance.
The areas of cooperation within the framework of the MOU cover: planning and policies; research and development; design and deployment; cooperation in government activities linked to the Intelligent Transport Systems field; and other forms of mutual cooperation that may be agreed by both parties.
