Passive infrastructure

The regulation is applied to any Passive Infrastructure Provider, understood as a natural or legal person that, not being a concessionaire of public telecommunications services, has aerial, ground-based or underground-based supporting infrastructure consisting mainly of towers, masts, poles, ducts, conduits, cameras, cables, easements, and rights of way, among others, different from the electronic elements of a telecommunications network; that they use for providing support to telecommunications service networks; and that are registered in the Registry of Passive Infrastructure Providers for Mobile Public Services.

The registration procedure is of automatic approval and the registration validity period is five years, which can be renewed for similar periods.
