Digital Terrestrial Television

The Digital Terrestrial Television (TDT, by its Spanish initials) is a technology for transmission and reception of images, sounds and data digitally encoding the television signal, turning it into a series of zeros and ones. These are transmitted through the radio spectrum, which allows simultaneous transmission of several signals, with images featuring higher sharpness and better sound quality and which, furthermore, can be received by mobile phones or TV receptors in moving vehicles. Moreover, a variety of information and interactive services can be transmitted.

Because of its easy interconnection with personal computers, laptops and, therefore, with the Internet, as well as with the mobile telephony network, the viewer can interact with TV stations, answering live surveys, stating opinions, and participating in entertainment and education programs.
